Kimchi Fried Rice ( 4-5 Servings)
Ingredients:
1cup to 1 1/2 cups of chopped Jinmi Kimchi
4-5 tablespoon of kimchi sauce from Jinmi Kimchi
4-5 cups of steamed rice
pork, bacon or sausage (optional)
1 small onion chopped
1 chopped green onion to garnish
1 tablespoon of canola or any other vegetable oil
4-5 eggs (optional)
1Sheet of roasted seaweed crushed (optional)
1 tablespoon of roasted sesame seeds
Tip: It's better to use aged/sour kimchi for this recipe
Instructions:
1) Heat pan with 1 tablespoon of oil in high heat. Add chopped onion and stir fry for 3-4 minutes or until tender. Add chopped kimchi, bacon or pork and stir fry for five more minutes.
2) Add steamed rice and the kimchi sauce and stir fry for few more minutes. In separate pan cook eggs sunny side up.
3) Add sesame oil to the fried rice.
4) Garnish with chopped green onion and crushed seaweed. Add egg on top.
